MARCIA JAQUELINE – Principal dancer and SIBA 2021 guest star.

Principal Dancer Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro. Guest Principal Dancer of the Salzburg State Theatre and Grishko Brand Ambassador.

Marcia Jaqueline began her ballet studies at the Maria Olenewa Dance School. Her dedication, hard work and technical as well as artistic abilities, allowed her to graduate at 14 years old. Too young to be hired by the Municipal Theater Ballet, and as a result Marcia firstly joined as an intern and most importantly was hired two years later by the director Jean-Yves Lormeau.

In 2007 Marcia was promoted to Principal Dancer. She danced the leading roles in all the seasons presented by the company. Among her performances stand out: Giselle (Giselle/Peter Wright). Odette and Odile (Swan Lake / Yelena Pankova). Tatiana and Olga (Onegin / John Cranko). Lise (La Fille Mal Gardee / Frederick Ashton). Aurora (Sleeping Beauty / Jaroslav Slavick). Juliet Romeo and Juliet / John Cranko). Sugarplum Fairy (The Nutcracker / Dalal Achcar). Nymph (Amazon Forest / Dalal Achcar), Kitri (Don Quixote / Dalal Aschcar), Cinderella. (Cinderella / Peter Breuer). Swanilda (Coppelia / Enrique Martinez) and Gamzatti and Nikiya (La Bayadere / Luis Ortigoza).

In her repertoire in addition, includes works by George Balanchine (Serenade and Divertimento No. 15), Roland Petit (Carmen and Le’Arlesienne), Michael Fokine (Les Sylphides and El Spectrum de la Rose), Uwe Scholz (Creation and Seventh Symphony), Glen Tetley (volunteers). Reginaldo Oliveira (Medea – Der Fall M and Otello) and Heinz Spoerli (Blue Light).

Throughout her career, Marcia Jaqueline had the honor to work with great personalities of dance such as Marcia Haydée, Richard Cragun, Natalia Makarova, Peter Wright, Julio Bocca, Heinz Spoerli, Vladimir Vassiliev, Elisabeth Platel, Jean-Yves Lormeau, Marcelo Gomes, Thiago Soares, Luigi Bonino, Eugenia Feodorova, Tatiana Leskova, Nora Esteves, Dalal Achcar, Glen Tetley, Desmond Kelly, among many others.

She danced as a guest in several companies, which include: Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón, Ballet Nacional de Sodre, Black Swan Dance Company and Deborah Colker Dance Company. In 2015 she was invited by Márcia Haydée to dance Nikia in La Bayadére with the Ballet of Santiago, Chile and in 2017, she starts to collaborate as a Principal Dancer with the Ballet of Salzburg, Austria.

Since 2006, Márcia had performed in several ballet galas and festivals around the world, such as 3rd International Dance Gala Teatro Solis in Uruguay, Latin American Ballet Gala (Paraguay), International Ballet Gala for the 75th anniversary of the National Sodre Ballet. Gala of the stars at International Ballet Festival of Miami. III International Ballet Gala of Teatro Colón. Creta International Ballet Gala, Salzburg International Ballet Gala and 6th Odessa International Music Festival Ballet Gala. In July 2021 she is invited to be part of Luxembourg Gala des Etoiles.
